Do I really need 90 grams of carbs per hour? +
No. Ninety grams per hour is an upper-end target for long endurance exercise, not a requirement for every athlete. Your practical target should also reflect gastrointestinal tolerance and what you have practiced.
Should carbohydrate intake be based on body weight? +
During-exercise carbohydrate recommendations are commonly organized primarily around exercise duration and demand rather than simply multiplying body weight by a fixed amount.
Can I combine gels, drinks and food? +
